Anthony Lamont Johnson, 33, from Furman, was arrested on 9/27/17 and charged with Assault/ Attempted Murder.

The incident which occurred on 9/22/16, stemmed from the subject and victim going to a club together in Pineland and later having a verbal dispute about leaving. The victim left with another person and as they were on the way home, they passed the subject who was on the shoulder of the road driving with a flat tire at 601 South and Ashley Circle in Furman.

The complainant reported that he got out of the vehicle across from his home and as he was waiting for traffic to pass the subject drove up and shoved the victim, then tried to hit him, and at that time pulled out a revolver and fired five shots at the victim as he was running away from the location. Victim sustained injuries to his hand.

Johnson was granted a PR Bond by Hampton County Chief Magistrate Carolyn Williams and released on 9/28/17.
